SPMU

Semi permanent make up treatments (micro pigmentation) are the process of placing pharmaceutical grade pigments under the skin to enhance beauty and give a make up illusion. The cosmetic tattoo is growing in popularity and can be done on the skin of the face, the eyebrows and the lips. Micro pigmentation could also be done on the hairline and scalp to give the illusion of hair, similarly to how it is done on the eyebrow.

SPMU lasts around 2 years, and could be longer provided you follow the correct after care and have a colour boost to keep everything looking fresh. Colour will heal lighter and more natural in comparision to immediately after.

Benefits:

-Saves time and money …throw away those make up pencils and wake up gorgeous! No smudging and cost effective
-Helps those who are not confident applying topical make up due to lack of skill/poor eye sight
-Helps people who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy and alopecia
-Helps women who have lost their breast (areola reconstruction)

Tams glam offers the following:

Lip blush

Lip blush is a lip tattoo that uses a machine to penetrate a coloured pigment into the lips.

  • Outlines the lip – great for adding definition and shape. If you have asymmetrical lips then lip blush could help even out the shape. We can slightly over draw the lip but not too much as the skin texture is different on the lips and the skin on the face.
  • Colour the lip – Lip blush adds a lovely wash of colour over your lip to create fullness and evenness. How bold/sheer we go is up to you. You get to choose your desired colour and I may mix different colours to suit your skin in relation to your natural lips and undertone. My expertise in colour theory will ensure the colour heals as you want it to
  • Lip blush can be done after lip filler to keep lips looking sharp and defined.
  • The colour of your lips will heal up to 60% lighter than the colour immediately after treatment. Bare this is mind when choosing a colour as the healed results will be softer than the colour you see in the bottle. If you want a bold lipstick look, then your results will be even bolder at the beginning.

Lip neutralisation

Lip neutralisation is a type of lip blush for people with dark lips to lighten and even out skin tone. More sessions are genuinely needed to get to the desired look and this will depend on the individual. Not all candidates are suitable for lip neutralisation and this will be determined at the consultation.

  • Uses colour theory to lighten and neutralise lips and even out skin tone and hyperpigmentation.
  • Healing may take 6-8 weeks depending on the individual and the number of sessions required varies. The darker your lips, the more neutralising you will need. It is a process, but results are beautiful.
  • Lip neutralisation could make lips appear darker during the healing process. This is temporary and will lighten as you heal
  • The goal is to neutralise hyperpigmentation e.g. blue and purples tones and once the base is more neutral we can then add a colour of your choice. If you have dark purple lips, adding a pink blush on top will only make your lips darker.

Microblading

Microblading is the process of placing hair like strokes into the skin using a hand held blade. This gives a realistic appearance of eyebrows, keeping it natural but enhancing the desired shape.

  • Realistic hair strokes that can be draw as full or natural as you desire
  • Microblading is not suitable with people with oily skin as the oil leads to the hair strokes blending out and not looking as crisp. If you have oily skin then you may be advised to go for a combination brow or a machine shaded brow.
  • Microblading is the safest form of SPMU

Ombre brows /powder brows (machine shading)

Ombre brows are created by machine shading which are darkest at the tail and gradually get lighter at the beginning to give a more natural finish. Powder brows are similar yet the shading is softer. Machine shaded brows are created using a machine with a needle which penetrates the skin the same way a tattoo gun does, just less deep into the skin. Machine brows give make up look, as if you have filled them with a pencil/powder.

  • Ombre brows are a bit bolder than microblading as they are more dense in colour, however machine shading could also be done to create a natural look, which I call powder brows. The choice is yours
  • Machine brows are better suited to people with oily and mature skin than microblading (microblading strokes could smear out with oily skin)

Combination brow

Combo brows are the mix of hair strokes at the beginning and shading. The hair strokes could be done using a microblade and a shading blade, nano strokes and machine shading (both on the machine) or a mixture of microblading and machine shading.

  • Hair strokes and shading to give a realistic look, with enough depth to make your brows pop
  • The method we used could be accustomed to your skin and the desired look. I like to create bespoke eyebrows which will suit your face and heal looking wonderful
  • Combo brows are great for people that have sparse hair and want a realistic result.
  • The best of both worlds!
